Highlighted Project
Heartland Windfarm 2022-2023
Our highlighted project was our involvement on the Heartland Windfarm in Ithaca, MI being our largest project to date. Over 7,000 man hours, with zero injuries or incidents. We provided on site trucking to help construct 19 miles of access roads and snow removal services to help with turbine component deliveries in the winter months.
In the summer when turbine foundation excavations began, we performed GPS locating and marking of disturbed drain tile. When foundations were backfilled, drain tile repair started. 14,898 lineal feet of tile was reinstalled. We decompacted the topsoil after it was put back in place.
Hydroseeding consisted of disturbed public intersection and temporary road ditches. We applied a MDOT mixture to the disturbed areas. The work completed was scheduled and performed in unison with the general contractor and developers.
